Welcome to the World Learning Oman Center
The World Learning Oman Center brings together emerging leaders from the United States, Oman, Gulf states, and other nations to engage in joint learning, inquiry, and cultural exchange to forge a deeper understanding of common interests and shared aspirations.
Established in 2007, the Oman Center is the only US-based program that brings undergraduate and graduate students to Oman for educational opportunities. Programs are accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges through affiliation with SIT/World Learning, Brattleboro, Vermont.
Scores of American undergraduate students have participated in World Learning’s Study Abroad program in Oman, which features instruction in economic and political development and intensive Arabic, as well as homestays with local families. The Center also offers Arabic language instruction, short-term study abroad programs, academic study tours, and a monthly professional lecture series on topics affecting the region.
The Oman Center is located on the Arabian Seacoast in the capital city of Muscat. The beautiful compound and three-story building include offices and classrooms used to support a diverse variety of programs for more than 200 students annually.
